Tom Holtz has drawn up an excellent chronogram (mapping phylogeny against geological time) - original url GEOL 331 Invertebrate Paleontology, Lectures 35-36: Vertebrate Paleontology which I have tilted on its side. This continues the series began with the Eugnathostomata. Here the "Total Group Osteichthyes" (lower left of diagram) are synonymous with our Teleostomi, and the "Crown Group Osteichthyes" with our Osteichthyes
